Ahakoa He Iti is from a well known Māori proverb

‘Ahakoa He Iti, He Pounamu’

‘Even though it is small, it is precious.’

As well as being a play on her name, it also symbolises the intention behind the EP, that even though it’s a small offering, it is a precious one.
